CAPTURED PLANET: KENYA

Three on-the-road short docs meeting the rural Kenyan communities of the Samburu, the Loita Masai and the Mijikenda; investigating the impact of climate change on their livelihood and their struggle to keep protecting the pristine forests they inhabit. How can we sustainably grow as communities, while safeguarding the environments from which we depend?

Captured Planet, a group of botanists and conservationists, travelled all across South America, Madagaskar and Kenya between 2015-2019 aiming to research and highlight the critical interdependence between people and nature at large; highlighting the importance of indigenous knowledge in the discourse of shaping strategies to tackle the climate crisis at a global level.
